  • Rehearsal:  June 14, 2024 (Friday) at 1:30pm on the 3rd floor of the Gymnasium
  • The commencement will be held on June 15, 2024 (Saturday) at 9am on the 3rd floor of the Gymnasium, and the commencement livestream will be played at the Auditorium.
  • Parents and graduating students are allowed to enter the venue starting at 8am on the day of the commencement.
  • Graduating students and their family members and relatives must enter the venue on both sides of the main entrance to the Gymnasium. If you need a wheelchair or you are unable to climb the stairs, attend the commencement at the Auditorium by watching the livestream for the sake of your safety.

  • No food or drink are allowed inside the venue at any point in the entire ceremony. Turn off your cellphone or put your cellphone on silent mode, to maintain order in the graduation ceremony.
  • To make sure the commencement proceeds smoothly, do not take photos or video when guests are delivering speeches and when the tassel turning ceremony is held. You may take photos at the ceremony venue from the end of the ceremony until 12noon.
  • On the day of the commencement, venue entry and exit times are controlled. We ask that participants enter and exit from the venue during the opening time and follow NTUE personnel’s instructions.
  • The Medical Service Station is located at A109-A110 of NTUE’s Administration Building (next to the Campus Safety Center).
  • Fire extinguisher locations on the 3rd and 4th floors of the Gymnasium and evacuation routes (Evacuate via the stage on the 3rd floor of the Gymnasium, and evacuate via the main entrance on the 4th floor of the Gymnasium.)

  • Report to the graduation ceremony in your graduation gown.
  • 8:30am to 9:00am: Graduating students start entering the venue.

enlightenedNotes for Award-Receipt and Tassel-Turning Representatives

  • List of undergraduate students receiving awards (Moral Character Award, Academic Excellence Award, Talent Award, Overseas Chinese Student Award; Outstanding Youth Award)
  • List of master’s degree program students receiving awards (Academic Excellence Award; Role Model Award)
  • List of tassel-turning representatives (Doctoral programs, master’s degree programs; undergraduate programs.)
  • Award-receipt and tassel-turning representatives must attend the entire graduation ceremony. Inform the organizer in advance if you are unable to attend the ceremony.
  • Wear the graduation gown, hood and cap, and make sure to check in at the roll call station to the right of the stage within the designated timeframe.
  • If you fail to check in on time or your attire does not meet requirements, your right to receive awards on stage and turn the tassel may be cancelled.

enlightenedNotes for Advisors

  • Advisors must enter the venue before 9:05am. Your seat will be next to your class’s seating area.
  • When the master of ceremonies announces “Awarding of diplomas and turning of tassels,” tassel-turning representatives for doctoral programs, master’s degree programs, and bachelor’s degree programs will first complete tassel-turning on stage. Once this is complete, the master of ceremonies will request that teachers turn tassels for their students below the stage.

enlightenedNotes for Attending Family Members

  • Beginning at 8am: Graduating students and their family members and relatives may start entering the venue. Do not enter the controlled area prior to the opening time.
  • Limited parking is available on campus, so take public transit to the venue on the day of commencement. If you must park a vehicle, use parking spaces in the areas surrounding NTUE.
  • There are only limited seats available on the 4th floor of the ceremony venue. If no seat is available, we request that family members of graduating students proceed to the livestream area at the Auditorium, following NTUE personnel instructions. You may enter the venue to take photos after the graduation ceremony ends.
  • Professional photographers will take photos for graduating students. Links to the photos will be available on the website for you to download. We therefore request that family members of graduating students not leave the seating area, and not take photos in front of the stage.
  • Children under 12 years of age are not allowed to enter the Gymnasium graduation venue, for the sake of their safety. However, they may attend the ceremony by watching the livestream at the NTUE Auditorium with their parents.

  • Limited parking is available on campus, so take public transit to the venue on the day of commencement. If you must park a vehicle, use parking spaces in the areas surrounding NTUE.
  • By MRT: Get off at MRT Muzha (Brown) Line Technology Building Station. Walk south to Heping East Road, Section 2, then turn left (east) about two minutes; NTUE will be on your right. (MRT Route Map and Timetables)
  • By Bus: Get off at Fuxing South Road Intersection stop, on the Fuxing South Road side. Routes: 237, 295, Red 57, or Fuxing Line.
  • By Bus: Get off at National Taipei University of Education stop, on Heping East Road. Routes:  18, 52, 72, 207, 211, 235, 278, 278 (shuttle bus), 284, 568, 662, 663, 680, 685, 688, or Heping Line (Taipei eBus website)
  • U-bike: U-bike (1.0 and 2.0) rental stations are available at the NTUE main entrance and eastern gate.
